A NEW SHIPMENT OF "THE RIVER" Is Due in the by Jan 29th. They have been on back order and I apologize for the delay.

I had a wonderful surprise at the Authors in the Afternoon at the Fort Smith Library. Fort Smith Mayor, Ray Baker presented me with the Key to the Frontier along with an Honorary Citizenship to Fort Smith and last but not least, a pardon from being hung by the neck until dead. That could come in quite handy. As most everyone knows, I do have a deep love for Fort Smith and who doesn't love Mayor Baker and all that he does for the city.

NOW YOU CAN READ THE FIRST FEW PAGES OF "THE RIVER" ONLINE AT AMAZON.. CLICK HERE TO READ THEM

Welcome to my site. I am happy to announce that my book is now out on the market and I am very excited. I have several book signings set up in the area. The book is now for purchase here on my site as well as Publishamerica.com and amazon.com along with barnesandnoble.com. Some of the local stores and libraries in the area will have the book. I am set to do “Author in the Afternoon” at the Fort Smith Library on Aug 10 from 2-4 pm. The River is a light book that just touches the surface of how much history there is in this area and how much fun it can be to explore it as a family. The next books out with be much more indepth and concentrated. I wrote The River for as just a fun book to reflect my attitude towards searching for history and the treasure that follows it.

I am working on a book now about the Grotto Country Club that was located in Lancaster, just north of Alma, AR and south of Mt. Burg, AR. It was an elaborate club build and ran by the Masonic Lodge in Fort Smith and was the stage for several murders. I have been doing research on this site for thirty years. It all began with the mysterious death of a little girl named Mary Mahar. It will be out around the end of this year.

As most of you know, I have been involoved in restoring a park in Oklahoma and it’s a wonderful place filled with history. Check out some of the photo’s of Wilson Rock Park. We have 4 new picnic tables installed and have two more here to install soon.  The Grotto Club story is ahead of schedule and at the moment I am working with C. Alan Bennett on Pirate Nation, from Myans to Masons.

C ALAN BENNETT and I have teamed up to write Pirate Nation. due out the end of the year.

The River

A look into The River

The Mulberry River runs through the foothills of the Ozarks and empties into the Arkansas River just a few miles down stream from Fort Smith, Arkansas. There are so many stories told of events on those river banks, but the real stories are the ones that have not been widely told. Most of the secret stories are kept just that, “secret” and for good reasons. This book is about stories of hidden treasure, secret societies and family murders. Actual stories as told by some of the old timers from the area as they recall the past and present. Some who have spent a life time searching for what is believed to be a huge cache of lost treasure just waiting on someone to unravel the mystery and clues to find it.

Who would ever think that out of those comes a life lesson that could change some ones life for the better.  A short story of how a man from years ago that I never met, changed my life so this book is for Andy, even though I never met him, I feel like I know him well.

To order direct from the author, send shipping address and the cost of the book, 18.00, which includes shipping to
